  1. Although our weather is in the 70’s there will be a polar plunge later this week. Milton Police has a team and donations go to Georgia Special Olympics. There is still time to donate to her team by going to https://www.classy.org/team/474839. (Milton Police Department via Facebook)
  2. There is a new art class for children ages 2-5 at the Community Center at Milton City Park and Preserve. It will take place on Fridays at 10:00 a.m. from March 10th. Children under the age of four must be accompanied by a caregiver. It’s called My Favorite Things and you can register your child at www.miltonga.gov/Registration and click on the Art tab.   3. Most Milton parts are septic and it is important to maintain these systems to keep them working properly. Fulton County offers an online presentation on how they work, maintenance and when to call in a professional for repairs. It will take place on Thursday, February 28 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Registration is required and free of charge. (City of Milton)
  4. If you are interested in donating relief supplies to victims of the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria, you can donate to Milton Fire Department.“In lieu of monetary donations, we are looking for portable essentials such as baby food (powdered) and diapers, feminine hygiene products, wipes, raincoats and the like.” You have until Monday, February 27 to bring them to Station 44 (13690 Highway 9).   5. The bridge on Hamby Road in Milton was damaged in an accident last December. Emergency repairs were carried out on the section that spans part of Chicken Creek. The bridge crosses a tributary of Chicken Creek. Permanent repairs will soon be made to the bridge, including a new guard rail, grass, and erosion control.
