2 wanted in Bedford County power tool theft

After tips from the public, the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office says they have recovered about$10,000 worth of power tools after someone stole them from a plumbing van.

The sheriff’s office took a larceny report on March 17 from H.L. Plumbing, who is working on the new sub-division across from Jefferson Forest High School in the Forest area of Bedford County. The sheriff’s office says during the nighttime hours, unknown suspects forced open one of the plumbing vans and stole approximately $10,000 of Milwaukee power tools.

The sheriff’s office has now identified those suspects as Robert Edward Figg and Gabrielle Leigh Waller. Both are wanted for felony property damage and felony grand larceny. The sheriff’s office says they have warrants for them both, but they have not been arrested yet.

Harper Loy, owner of H.L. Plumbing, grew up in the area. His parents even taught at Jefferson Forest High School and he would’ve never expected something like this to happen.

“I wasn’t here at the time. I got a call from an employee this morning saying someone broke into my truck with a crowbar and stole my tools,” Loy said.

Loy normally leaves one of his work trucks on site overnight.

“Not after today, not leaving my trucks anymore,” Loy said.
