3 arrested after climbing into Line 3 pipe in Wadena County

Police went on site and were informed by construction workers that four people with cold weather equipment and sleeping bags had climbed into a pipe.

Distribution orders were issued and most of the group left the property. However, according to authorities, three remained in the pipe, which was approximately 2,250 feet long.

After about six hours, the three finally left the tube and were taken into custody after being released by medical personnel. They were identified as 20-year-old Trinity Shaw-Stewart from Medford, Oregon, 22-year-old Bonnie Hoekstra from St. Paul, and 26-year-old Jack Keenan from Stevens Point, Wisconsin.

All three were held for gross misdemeanors on probable grounds.
