Applewood Plumbing’s Quarterly Caring Community Giveaway goes to the Community Reach Center

Applewood Plumbing Heating & Electric recognizes the Community Reach Center as the winner of the Caring Community Giveaway Program. The organization received a donation of US $ 5,000 to support their local community mental health support efforts.

This quarter, Applewood asked employees to identify organizations focused on providing mental health resources, as Colorado’s suicide rates are among the highest in the US.

“We have our employees nominated for charity and the community then votes on them,” said Josh Ward, owner of Applewood. “This enables Applewood to give back to the organizations that matter most to our fellow human beings and to support our communities where they are most needed.”

In addition to the Community Reach Center, Building Warriors and the Second Wind Fund were also nominated. The community voted on the organizations through the Applewood website and Facebook page. With an overwhelming response to all three organizations, Applewood will donate an additional $ 500 to Building Warriors and the Second Wind Fund.

“We are very honored and humbled to win the Applewood Plumbing, Heating and Electric quarterly Caring Community Giveaway! At the Community Reach Center, we strive every day to have a positive impact on our community. It is therefore a compliment to be recognized for our employees’ commitment and passion for the community, ”said Rick Doucet, CEO of the Community Reach Center.

The Community Reach Center helps treat and manage patients with depression and anxiety, grief and loss, substance abuse, bipolar disorder, or schizophrenia. They look after 22,000 residents across the country with individual, group, family and couple counseling.

Applewood’s Caring Community Giveaway has been in existence for more than 15 years and has donated more than $ 200,000 to help make a difference in the greater Denver and Boulder areas by supporting the efforts of small local nonprofits.
