The city of the fight invites the residents to participate in the Washington Adopt-A-Storm drain program, which contributes to keeping the waterways clean and reducing the floods by maintaining Vorwärtssturm drains.
“It is quick and easy, and you can help to reduce the street flooding and to protect our location waterways from pollution,” says a social media announcement by the city of the fight.
Adopted must keep their adopted drainage of leaves, garbage and other rubble all year round. The cleaning of the storm drainers usually lasts 15 minutes, twice a month, according to the website of Adopt-A-Storm-Drain. Adopt-a-storm drain recommends tools such as brooms, rakes and gloves for drain cleaning.
As a sign of appreciation for the introduction of a drain, the participants receive a free garden sign to inspire the neighborhood to prevent the waterway from preventing them, according to the website.
To register for adopt-a-storm drain, visit Wa.adopt-a-drain.org. An interactive card is available to search the adoptable storm processes and pursue the effects of the program.
Since the introduction of the adopt-a-storm drain program in 2021, over £ 38,000 has been collected from 3,224 storm processes, according to the website.
