Free financial literacy workshops

Based on the success of the first quarter launch, Rock Island Economic Growth Corporation (GROWTH), Bridge Investment Community Development Corporation, and Project NOW are jointly launching another three-part series of workshops that promote personal growth in financial literacy, financial management, and setting financial goals for one better future.

The workshops will take place on April 5th, 12th, and 19th at 6pm and are open to all Illinois residents and free of charge. Registration is required in advance by calling 309-788-6311 or emailing [email protected]. The workshop will be offered in a hybrid style with very limited personal seating and online webinar format for registrants who wish to attend remotely.

“Based on the success and response we received at the start of the Personal Growth Series in January, we are holding the event again in April and hope to be able to do the same in July and October. As a HUD accredited housing advice agency, GROWTH helps clients improve their knowledge and ability to fix their loans, budget, buy a home and save for the future, ”said James Jones, Housing Manager at GROWTH, in a press release.
