The Timiskaming Health Unit is advising residents that the boil water advisory that was issued on March 29th has been lifted.

Officials say “water sample results indicate that the water quality within the municipal drinking water system is safe for drinking.”

Now that the advisory has been lifted officials add residents should; A) run cold water faucets for 10 minutes before using the water, B) run drinking water fountains for 10 minutes before using the water, C) run water softeners through a regeneration cycle, and D) drain and refill hot water heaters set below 45 degrees Celsius (a normal setting is 60 degrees Celsius).
