Boil water notice to be issued following pipe break in Overton

OVERTON, Texas (KLTV) – A water main has ruptured and police say repairs may take longer than usual due to weather conditions and the severity of the rupture.

The disruption is in a 10-inch water line on FM 850 and once service is restored affected Overton residents will be faced with a water boiling alert, according to a social media post from the Overton Police Department.

Police are recommending the use of bottled water and have said they will be contacting the state to try to bring water in.
