Boy Dies: 6-year-old boy dies in open septic tank in Dehradun | Dehradun News

Dehradun: A six-year-old boy died while playing in Dehradun's Selaqui area on Tuesday afternoon when he fell into an open septic tank in an under-construction house.
Selaqui police station in-charge Sub-Inspector Shanky Kumar said, “The child, Mohd Shakib, had accompanied his mother, a domestic help, to the house. While she was busy with her work, the boy went to play. After some time, he was found unconscious in the tank.”
“Hearing the mother's cries for help, some neighbours rushed to the accident spot and called the tank cleaners who fished him out. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead,” Kumar said, adding that necessary action would be taken after an investigation.
