The FBI and ATF are now offering a $ 100,000 reward for information about the suspect.
WASHINGTON – The FBI is still searching for the person they believe dropped two pipe bombs at the headquarters of the Republican National Committee and Democratic National Committee the night before the US Capitol riot.
The FBI and ATF increased the reward to $ 100,000 on Friday for information about the suspect, shown in a still from a video in the area. The pipe bombs were placed between 7:30 PM and 8:30 PM on January 5, the FBI said.
New photos released Friday show one of the pipe bombs, as well as a timing device and the suspect’s shoes, identified by the FBI as Nike Air Max Speed Turf shoes in yellow, black and gray.

Five people were killed and dozen injured when pro-Trump rioters stormed the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday January 6th. Two police officers also died by suicide in the weeks after the attack.
Thousands of Trump supporters surrounded the US Capitol after a rally in the National Mall to protest unsubstantiated allegations of election fraud, where the president told the crowd to “fight like hell” and if they didn’t, they would they “don’t have” a country anymore. “
The mob broke in while a joint congressional session was held, under the direction of Vice President Mike Pence, to confirm the election of the electoral college and confirm the presidency of Joe Biden. The rioters smashed windows, pulled back the police lines, and scaled the walls of the Capitol. They got as far as the Houses of Representatives and Senate, where the historic vote had only taken a few minutes earlier.
The looters raided the offices of leaders such as House Spokeswoman Nancy Pelosi and damaged or stolen property throughout the complex.
The building was locked for more than 4 hours, key members of the government were taken to safe locations by armed security forces, while others barricaded congressmen and their aides in their offices for fear of their safety.
More than a dozen people have been charged with federal crimes, but the FBI is still working to identify many other rioters. Anyone with tips can call 1-800-225-5324 or submit pictures or videos at fbi.gov/USCapitol.
