Your cooperation in these efforts is highly valued.
As a reminder, the city temporarily increased the water base certificates on January 13th to support dormitories. Customers with a 5/8 meter meter receive another 2,000 gallons water per account period in addition to the standard -4,000. -Gallon base rate for a total of 6,000 gallons without an additional fee. This allowance does not apply to trailer parks or apartment complexes that are operated by Master measuring devices without individual billing.
Adjustments are displayed on February bills.
What should the residents do?
If your property is in an area that has been frozen in the past, or if you have experienced frozen pipes, you should take the following steps into account:
-Run a small water current (approximately the size of a pencil on the pencil) from the sink the farthest of your water knife. This is usually sufficient to prevent freezing.
-Iferen the kitchen and the bathroom barrier doors so that warmer air can circulate around pipes. Make sure you move harmful cleaning staff or chemicals outside the range of children and pets.
-Run at regular intervals from water flaps on outer walls or in rarely used rooms to keep the water in your sanitary system in motion.
The city will notify the residents if it is safe to stop flowing water.
Real estate owners are responsible for maintaining their water services until the connection within the street. The city's water supply, which comes from the middle fork of the Popo Agie River, remains near the freezer temperatures and makes flat or unprotected pipes particularly susceptible to freeze.
