The city conducts its annual sewer cleaning program between November 7 and March 3, weather permitting. The program calls for all combined sewers within the city to be cleaned every four years to maintain the reliability of the stormwater management system. The contractor hired to complement the city’s cleaning team is National Power Rodding Corp.
The contractor’s cleanup efforts will be focused on the southwest portion of the city, including approximately 37,690 feet of a combined main sewer ranging in diameter from 8″ to 24″.
This project is overseen by the city’s Capital Planning & Engineering Bureau. Any questions or concerns please contact Civil Engineer II Ron Papa at 847-448-8280 or [email protected] project newsletter.
