Barnstable County regional commissioners have approved approximately $40,000 for improvements to the Cape Cod Welcome Center.
Last season, 32,000 people were cared for in this reception center within four months.
Commissioners committed to a working relationship with the Cape Cod National Seashore on wildfire planning, development issues and strengthening the region's resilience to deal with climate change.
And commissioners also approved about $13 million in loans for the county's AquiFund, which will provide low- or no-interest loans for wastewater treatment plants and connections.
The commissioners also approved a resolution opposing the proposed shooting range and will write to the EPA addressing their concerns and opposition.
