Darts star and plumber fixes sink hours before first match at Ally Pally World Championship

Darts star Cameron Menzies had a really nice Friday afternoon.

The Scot will face Rusty-Jake Rodriguez at Alexandra Palace on Friday evening in his opening match of the Paddy Power World Darts Championship as he looks to improve on his second-round exit last year this time around.

However, before showing up at Ally Pally, Menzies was working hard at his other job as a plumber. The 34-year-old, who is dating Fallon Sherrock, took to social media hours before his clash against Rodriguez and showed his fans the less glamorous side of his life.

On What a joy.” He then posted another photo of himself in the bathroom, adding: “Plumbing at 11 darts at 8. Finished” in his attire for his Ally Pally showdown on Friday night.

And of course the two snapshots sent darts fans on social media into hysterics. One fan wrote: “Damn guy I would have at least taken today off,” to which Menzies replied: “I tried. But I have half a shift to do it.”
