Decapitated Body Found in Hyderabad School’s Septic Tank: Investigation Underway | Hyderabad News

Hyderabad: Shankarpally police are investigating the discovery of an unidentified body with a decapitated head found in a septic tank of a government model school on Friday.
The gruesome discovery was made by students who were playing cricket and happened upon the crime scene.
“The decomposing body was found when children went to get their cricket ball and noticed a strong foul smell emanating from the area,” said P. Suseendra Rao, district education officer (DEO).
The school, which shares its premises with the Mandal MPDO office, has been temporarily closed while forensic teams conduct their investigation. “At this time we cannot confirm the identity of the deceased or the cause of death. We are awaiting the post-mortem report for further details but have immediately cordoned off the area and initiated our investigation protocols,” a police official said.
Authorities have urged anyone with information about missing people in the area to come forward. “We are checking missing person reports from nearby places and are working to ascertain the identity of the deceased,” the official added.
