SENECA, Pa. (EYT) – Deets Mechanical, the region’s leading heating, air conditioning and plumbing contractor, is now offering positions for experienced plumbers.

Job description:

Deets Mechanical is seeking experienced plumbers for the installation, maintenance and repair of plumbing, water and gas supply lines, heating systems and associated fixtures and equipment in residential, commercial and industrial buildings.

They must also design and inspect plumbing systems, perform diagnostics, and ensure they comply with government regulations.

To be a successful plumber you should be able to work independently and solve problems as quickly and efficiently as possible. To excel in this position you should have strong technical skills, be a master at troubleshooting and enjoy working with people.

Plumber Responsibilities:

– Reading and interpreting blueprints to assess or plan plumbing installations and layouts.
– Installing, maintaining and repairing plumbing and fixtures.
– Assembly and repair of various household appliances.
– Cutting and assembling pipes, hoses, fittings and devices.
– Inspection and testing of plumbing systems for safety, functionality and compliance.
– Handling customer inquiries and answering callouts.
– Troubleshooting and problem solving.
– Preparation of cost estimates.

Plumbing Requirements:

– 2+ years of experience as a plumber.
– Good practical knowledge of water supply, heating and ventilation systems.
– Ability to read blueprints and use plumbing tools.
– Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
– Good listening and communication skills.
– Good interpersonal skills and patience.
– Physical dexterity.
