The pipe bombs were found outside the local Democratic and Republican National Committee offices. The pipe bombs were found in a car in which a long gun was also discovered.

DC Police responded to the Capitol after making multiple calls to its shipping units and at the request of the U.S. Capitol Police. They helped clear pro-Trump rioters from the area after the building was overrun and removed the pipe bombs and Molotov cocktails.

The Norfolk Democrat Elaine Luria shared the information in a tweet. She also said she had to evacuate her Washington office outside of a report of a pipe bomb. Luria added that she could hear “what sounds like several shots”.

The Congresswoman added to the original tweet, writing, “I do not recognize our country today, and the members of Congress who supported this anarchy do not deserve to represent their fellow Americans.”

I just had to vacate my office because a pipe bomb was reported outside. Supporters of the President are trying to force their way into the Capitol and I can hear what sounds like several shots. (1/2)
