In the latest lawsuit against the artist formerly known as Kanye West, a former assistant principal at the rapper’s Christian private school says students were forced to attend classes in dirty and unsafe conditions — and that the staff because of retaliated against their complaints.

Attorneys for plaintiff Isaiah Meadows, who worked at Yes’s secret school from November 2020 to August 2022, say in their lawsuit that the school was left in an incomplete and dangerous condition, with windows without glass and “faulty electrical wiring.” the school that once started a fire near the students’ dining area.

In addition to the risk of fire, students on campus were also exposed to improperly maintained septic tanks, which overflowed “every other day” and “caused a horrible smell,” according to the complaint.

“It’s just outrageous what’s going on at this school,” Meadows’ attorney Ron Zambrano of West Coast Employment Lawyers said in an emailed statement to Insider.

Zambrano added: “The unlawful and retaliatory behavior of Mr. West and the principals has since been documented numerous times by other former employees who have never worked together but have all experienced the same horrific treatment and the same serious health, safety and educational issues .” Code violations, while all have suffered the same fate – wrongful termination – and we plan to hold them accountable.”

Meadows representatives and an attorney for West did not immediately respond to Insider’s request for comment.

West’s private school, whose students previously paid $15,000 a month, according to insiders, has been embroiled in controversy and multiple lawsuits in recent years.

The story goes on

Insiders previously reported that former staffers in court cases have claimed that the ever-unpredictable Ye refused to hold classes on the second floor of the school building because he was afraid of stairs and insisted students eat only sushi for lunch — on the floor, with their hands — and were forbidden to wear Adidas or Nike brands on campus.

Meadows, in its most recent file, joins several former employees who, after complaining about being prevented from teaching about the Holocaust or raising concerns about not being provided with textbooks to teach, claim they faced retaliation from West, including discrimination and unfair dismissal.
