Free Water Distributed To Benton Harbor Residents As City Works On Replacing Lead Pipes – CBS Detroit

(CBS DETROIT) – Benton Harbor continues to have water problems.

The city confirms that more than a hundred cars are lining up for free water crates this week.

Benton Harbor residents are asked to use tap water for cooking or drinking due to the higher lead content in tap water.

The upcoming distributions include:

Tuesday October 26th

  • Southwest Community Action Agency, 331 Miller St., 10 am-2pm (self-service)
  • Abundant Life Church of God, 693 Columbus Ave., 12-2pm
  • Ebenezer Baptist Church, 214 E. Britain Ave., 4-6pm

Thursday October 28th

  • Southwest Community Action Agency, 331 Miller St., 4-6pm

Friday October 29th

  • Southwest Community Action Agency, 331 Miller St., 10 am-2pm (self-service)
