More than 200,000 owners asked, “Aren’t you frying?”

LOUISVILLE, Ky .– (BUSINESS WIRE) – In a grassroots campaign, Rick Hasselbeck, chief commercial officer of GE Appliances (GEA), a Haier company, took to the streets today sharing gifts with hungry consumers. To the surprise and confusion of the GEA owners, the personally hand-delivered packages were empty but hot. Look here.

One anonymous fan said, “I was delighted to receive a package from the company’s CCO and thought I had won something. Instead, I scratched my head. ”

Hasselbeck delivered dozens of packages to registered customers and reportedly had a crack in his crotch as he served the heated gifts.

“I wanted this to be an easy task and it really isn’t a heavy lift,” said Hasselbeck.

Hasselbeck, known for long-winded speeches and sleepy zoom meetings that kept booming, held a long press conference earlier in the day with detailed information on how to prepare fried food.

“He kept saying things like ‘crunch with no calories’ and ‘crispy for a crowd’ but the speech was full of hot air to me,” said a prominent national correspondent who was in attendance. “Though this Brussels sprouts recipe was a keeper,” he added as a side note.

Since Hasselbeck could only cover so much ground in one day, some consumers received their free gifts as air-dripped surprises. Drones soared and swept the nation on April 1st to deliver #AirFryApril as over-the-air (OTA) upgrades. Look here.

This is the message brought to you by GE Appliances as the company launches its first FREE software upgrade sharing No-Preheat Air Fry technology with more than 200,000 of its owners. More than 60 models of CAFÉ, GE Profile and Haier smart ovens that have already been installed in consumers’ homes are eligible for this upgrade, which will be rolled out later this month.
