Jacksonville updates its annual list of areas with septic tank failures. News, Sports, Entertainment, Lifestyle, Opinion 
The city of Jacksonville and the JEA are developing a ranking of 35 neighborhoods to convert from septic tanks to sewers, a costly undertaking that amounts to about $1.6 billion for each area on the list and will take decades to complete .
The list is updated each year and the ranking of septic districts may vary based on changing conditions. Here is the June 2024 list of all 35 septic tank failure areas and the number of parcels in each property.
- Biltmore C in northwest Jacksonville: 358 properties (completion in September 2022)
- Beverly Hills in northwest Jacksonville: 749 parcels (completed in September 2024)
- Christobel in the northwest of Jacksonville: 511 plots (construction to begin in fall 2025)
- River view in northwest Jacksonville: 2,433 parcels (in public relations)
- Eggleston Heights in Arlington: 3,416 lots
- St. Nicholas on the south side: 623 plots
- Emerson on Emerson Street on the Southside: 751 lots
- Juliton Creek in Mandarin: 2,000 packages
- Champion Forest on the west side: 610 plots
- Westfield in Ortega: 190 plots
- Unprecedented on the south side: 369 plots
- lakeside on the west side: 1,344 plots
- Holly Oaks in Arlington: 282 lots
- Oak lawn on the south side: 230 plots
- Atlantic highlands in Intracoastal West: 102 lots
- Empire Point on the south side: 342 plots
- Cedar River on the west side: 386 plots
- Mill Creek in Arlington: 435 lots
- Julinton Hills in Mandarin: 617 plots
- Kinard in northwest Jacksonville: 81 lots
- Spring Glen on the south side: 485 plots
- Lone Star Park in Arlington: 321 lots
- Freeman Road/Inwood Terrace on the south side: 95 plots
- Hood Landing II in Mandarin: 509 plots
- Point La Vista on the south side: 830 plots
- Northlake on the north side: 121 plots
- Beauclerc Gardens in Mandarin: 530 plots
- Clifton in Arlington: 524 lots
- Ortega: 167 plots
- Oakhaven on the south side: 790 plots
- Southside Estates on the south side: 2,305 plots
