Kohler’s new Stillness Bath turns your bathroom into a spa

Kohler has embraced the new lifestyle of living at home, turning homes into luxurious smart home spaces. The company unveiled its latest line of products ahead of CES 2021: taps that turn on with gestures rather than touch, toilets that open and close automatically, and a new bathtub that transforms any bathroom into a spa.

Quiet bath

The Kohler still bath can create a layer of fog over the water Kohler

The rectangular bath is the height of a home spa experience. The tub is self-filling, has lighting options and even aromatherapy features so you can add essential oils to your bath. The entire bathtub can be controlled via an app and also via voice control, either via the Kohler Konnect system or via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

The bath can also support an infinite flow that allows water to fall over the edge into the wooden floor and then return back into the tub – a feature that makes it clear that this is not a DIY device. And there are four different versions, including one that even pushes fog over the water and, depending on the version, can be ordered from May 2021. Prices range from $ 6,198 to $ 15,998, depending on the features.

Innate intelligent toilet

Kohler’s innate intelligent toilet supports automatic flushing, opening and closing and even a Kohler heated seat

At CES 2019, Kohler unveiled an Alexa-controlled smart toilet called Numi, priced at $ 9,000. This year Kohler is also launching a smart toilet, some of them but one that brings the price down to more consumer-friendly levels.

Kohler’s new innate smart toilet will hit the market for $ 3,300, said Jonathan Bradley, product manager for the smart home portfolio. It has an automatic opening and closing function, automatic filching and even a heated seat.

But again this year there will be four additional no-touch toilets, with battery-powered sensors to aid in automatic flushing, and Bradley said the smart toilet category is growing ten times faster than traditional toilets. The innate intelligent toilet can be ordered in June 2021. Additional no-touch toilets can be ordered for $ 600 to $ 1,000 in March 2021.

This year, faucets with touchless controls are coming into the bathroom from KohlerKohler

More sensor and gesture control appears in a new bathroom faucet that previously appeared in the kitchen. With a digital dial, people can set the temperature and flow and from there switch the water on and off via a sensor.

The faucet will be a late addition that can be ordered in December 2021, and the price for the touchless faucet and remote control will be between $ 200 and $ 500.

Phyn

Kohler Whole Home Water Monitor Powered by Phyn

Phyn’s Kohler Whole Home Water Monitor can automatically turn off the water in a HomeKohler

Finally, Kohler is announcing a partnership with Phyn, the smart water monitoring system, with two products that will allow people to monitor water usage in their home and turn it off automatically when needed.

Phyn’s new Kohler Whole Home Water Monitor will be available in two versions, one with an auto-off option for $ 500 and one without for $ 300. Both can be installed by a homeowner and are right under the sink. You’ll get a quick notification if a leak is actually detected anywhere, not just in the sink, and people can also access Phyn for details on water usage, even if it’s from non-Kohler-branded products.

These can be ordered from June 2021 for the monitor and from December 2021 for the monitor, which can switch off automatically if a leak is detected.
