Lewiston names new building, plumbing inspector

LEWISTON – The city has named Travis Tardif as its new building and sanitation inspector in the Planning and Enforcement Department.

Tardif is among the law enforcement staff who oversee the more than 5,000 enforcement inspections per year in Lewiston and other relevant state laws related to buildings and structures in the city.

Tardif has served Lewiston as a Code Enforcement Officer since 2021.

He holds various certifications including Maine Land Use Planning, Maine Shoreland Zoning, Maine Internal Plumbing, Maine Subsurface Wastewater Disposal, Residential Construction and NSPIRE Section 8 Inspector. Tardif has also served on the Livermore Planning Board since 2020, where he served as a code enforcement officer from 2017 to 2020.
