In addition to Knieps and Teter, the other members of the Executive Board from 2022 will be Executive Vice Presidents Sal Gattone, LIXIL; Board Secretary / Treasurer Chip Way, Lavelle Industries; and the great directors Daniel Gleiberman, Sloan Valve Co .; Cambria McLeod, Kohler Co .; Bob Neff, Delta Faucet Co .; and Belinda Wise, Kerox, Ltd.

In his acceptance speech, Knieps said that he felt honored by the trust placed in him by the members. He highlighted PMI’s great scope for growth by capitalizing on the opportunities presented by Internet of Things products and artificial intelligence technologies, and addressing the challenges of climate change. “Nobody does the work alone and your participation makes all the difference,” he said.

Knieps thanked Teter for his contributions as President of the PMI Board of Directors in 2021 by presenting him with a California state flag that was hoisted over the capital in Sacramento. He also announced that the 68th Annual Membership Meeting for the PMI22 Manufacturing Success Conference will be held October 24-27, 2022 at the Omni Louisville Hotel in Louisville, Kentucky.

In a summary of the year 2021, Teter paid tribute to the PMI member companies that joined in the course of the year – Brasscraft, Elkay and Dornbracht, announced the addition of Uponor as a new manufacturing member in 2022 and welcomed potential new members and 16 first-time conference attendees. He presented the PMI President’s Award to Pete Jahrling, Director, Design Engineering, Sloan Valve Co. and past two-term President of the PMI Board of Directors.

Teter also commended PMI volunteers and member companies for stepping up during the COVID-19 pandemic to protect public health and safety and ensure that PMI can add value to members during a difficult time. In 2022, when PMI members launched a new initiative to fight climate change by setting themselves the goal of Zero Waste, Teter said, “None of us have the solution to climate change, but everyone has a role to play. “

In his report on the state of the association, Kerry Stackpole, CEO / Executive Director of PMI, congratulated Teter on his leadership in a challenging year and expressed joy to see all of the participants in person. “PMI’s success lies in three things – people, processes and products,” he said. Stackpole observed a minute’s silence in memory of Paul Patton, a former PMI CEO, and spoke about his outstanding contributions to PMI and the plumbing industry. He also reviewed the performance of PMI, its coalition partners and the issues the association addressed in 2021.

After Stackpole emphasized the importance of increased collaboration with PMI among employees of all PMI member companies, Stackpole presented the PMI Ambassador Award to Cambria McLeod, a senior executive at Kohler Co., 2022 PMI board member and 2021 co-chair of the PMI Water Committee for efficiency and sustainability.
