MDOT SHA to replace underground pipe along Port Tobacco Road

(June 2, 2022) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) will conduct a one-day project on Saturday, June 4th to replace an underground pipe on MD 6 (Port Tobacco Road) in Nanjemoy, Charles County. A diversion will be in place until repairs are completed later that day.

Crews close at 8am MD 6 at Maryland Point Rd for pipe replacement work. Drivers traveling southbound on MD 6 will be diverted to Hancock Run Road, Adams Willett Road, Liverpool Point Road and Riverside Road. Drivers traveling northbound on MD 6 will be diverted to Holly Springs Road and Riverside Road. The diversion will remain in place until repairs are completed later that day.
