Merredin Shire Council authorises wastewater pipes refurbishment

Allpipe Technologies, an authorized Merredin Shire contractor, will shortly begin rehabilitation of deteriorated sewer pipes.

This rehabilitation work, carried out by Allpipe Technologies, is scheduled to begin in mid-March 2023 and be completed by the end of July 2023 and will take place throughout the town of Merredin.

Allpipe Technologies will work on hard shoulders and/or roads as well as on private property boundaries.

During sewer rehabilitation, existing sewage pipes are cleaned and renovated without digging.

It reduces the likelihood of blockages and extends the lifespan of this critical infrastructure by at least 30 years.

Residents and businesses may notice increased activity in the area, noise from generators and vehicles, and transient odors.

Traffic management will be put in place to safely guide vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians around the work area.

Occasionally night work may be required and access to properties may be requested and in either case the county will give advance notice to affected residents.
