MV Septic Offers Customers New Technology

The Progress

MV Septic has an array of new technology to help customers in maintaining the septic systems of their homes and businesses.

Moapa Valley Septic has been operating in the Valley for almost two years. But the company has recently added some new equipment to its arsenal to help its customers in maintaining their septic systems.
Operator and owner Brett Lee is no stranger to Moapa Valley. Lee graduated from MVHS and has been raising his family here for many years.

Lee realized that there was a need for additional septic services in Moapa Valley and attended the training and applied for the proper permits to begin business.

One of the newest pieces of equipment is a device called a locator wand. Like a metal detector, this device can detect where the septic tank lid is located without having to tear up the yard looking for it.
“Health department and county records are not always accurate in determining where the lid to a septic tank is located on someone’s property,” Lee said.

By using the tank locator wand, Lee is able to save landscaping and a lot of time when providing septic services. The wand operates at a 512 Hertz frequency and is ground penetrating to help find the septic tank with minimal invasion of the area.

While there is an additional fee for this service, it is usually worth the money not to have to replace or repair landscaping, Lee said.

In addition to wand tank location, Lee also has acquired a new sewer line snake complete with lights and inspection camera. This can help to detect and clean out any blockages or problems located within the drain pipes.

Lee has also purchased a very lightweight landscaping tractor to assist in his work. This piece of equipment helps minimize damage to property when working on septic issues.
“By using the smaller tractor, less damage is done to the property,” Lee said. “I am able to maneuver into smaller spaces. It decreases manual labor and increases turn-around time.”

Lee said that Moapa Valley Septic typically responds to customer calls within one to two days. But emergency calls are always met promptly and every call is treated professionally.
