A Burleigh Heads warehouse that has been vacant for more than five years has been snapped up by a national plumbing company for $4.65 million.
According to marketing agent Jared Johnson of Harcourts Coastal Commercial, the owner of the 1532 sqm commercial property on Ramly Dr. 13 leave it empty instead of taking on a tenant.
He eventually decided to auction the property, but the buyer was secured before it went under the hammer.

It was sold to Cook's Plumbing, a Sydney-based company with a growing presence in Queensland.
Mr Johson said empty warehouses of this size were “rare as hen's teeth”.
“The owner had built it himself when he had a carpet supply business,” he said.
“He could have made $250,000 a year in rental income, but he didn’t want to take on a tenant.”
The freehold building had a floor area of 810 m² and was located in the industrial area of Burleigh Heads.
