Natural gas rebates: Who can receive up to $2,000 with the Gold Package Bonus rebate

Wwith controls from $50 to $2,000the city in Florida Tallahassee encourages residents to switch to natural gas to reduce electricity needs.

The city will even connect gas from the street to the home at no extra cost. Residential or commercial property owners may be eligible for discount and low-interest financing programs.

The City of Tallahassee, as well as new consumers who plug in where gas is available and natural gas consumers in the Leon, Gadsden and Wakulla Territories are also eligible.

Gas rebates for Tallahassee

The Gold Pack Bonus – $2,000. This refund applies to new installations of a gas range, dryer, water heater, oven or combination appliance. The $425 Gold Package bonus increases the refund to a total of $2,000.

The combination device – $1,375. Owners who purchase a combination of devices can receive rebate checks worth up to $1,375. These are eligible for the furnace + water heater rebates and heat the house and water. However, a new system needs to be installed, including the hydronic circuit, controls and heavy-duty gas water heater.

Natural gas stove – up to $700. Those who choose to convert their furnace to natural gas will receive checks for $700. Expect payments of $350 from anyone looking to replace their device with another natural gas device. Just remember that the electric air conditioning only runs in the summer and these gas stoves only run in the winter.

Tank or instantaneous water heater – up to $675. The newer gas tankless water heaters heat water when it is needed and provide hot water for as long as you need it. Upgrades to natural gas water heaters are eligible for a $675 refund, while check replacements are eligible for $300.

Gas pool and spa heaters – up to $450. If owners decide to upgrade their gas pool heater, they could potentially get $450 in rebates. You can get checks for $250 if you want to replace your natural gas heater with another.

Gas stoves and ovens – up to $200. Gas cooking offers a wide range of benefits, including even heat, precise temperature control, quick starts and stops, and more. If you want to replace your device, you can get a $200 discount; If you want to replace it with another gas appliance, you can get a check for $150.

Gas clothes dryer – up to $200. According to the city, anyone who opts for gas dryers can expect up to 50% lower energy costs. You can get $200 back if you want to switch to natural gas dryers and $150 back if you want to replace your current dryer.

Outdoor gas grills – up to $100. Switching to a gas grill has several advantages, including lower air conditioning costs in the summer, easier cleaning, and less expensive fuel expenses per cookout than with charcoal. Those looking to switch to gas can get $100 rebate checks, while those looking to replace theirs can get $75 checks.

Natural Gas Logs – $50. Gas logs provide a clean heat source with no sparks or ash. Get $50 rebate checks if you want to switch or replace.

Gas Outdoor Lights – $50. The cooler months are upon us and the terraces are ready to get cozy. Get $50 in rebate checks if you want to replace your electric lights with gas.
