A prep sink, ceiling tiles, floor drains, mop sink, floor tiles, steel door and LED lighting were installed in the Sterl Hall Kitchen. The installations are part of the process of making the kitchen a communal kitchen. The Quality of Life Coalition of Dickinson County paid $25,000 in grants using funds from the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Initiatives. Dickinson County, which owns the building, also contributed $25,000. Bob Kohman, president of the Central Kansas Free Fair Board of Directors, said the next step is replacing the two ovens.
