YORK City has announced a sponsorship deal for the South Stand of the LNER Community Stadium in tribute to David Longhurst.
The Minstermen have signed a long-term agreement with Nfinnerty Electrical & Plumbing and will rename the South Stand Nfinnerty Stand, with red and blue branding to the rear.
The York-based family business has included a tribute to David Longhurst in the artwork as well as a section entitled “We are York”.
Nfinnerty Electrical Director Neil Finnerty has more than 30 years of experience installing, maintaining and upgrading electrical infrastructure in the agricultural, household and commercial sectors.
Finnerty said: “Nfinnerty is proud to sponsor York City FC. The history and values of the city are values that we share. We are York. ”
City Commercial Manager Liam McGuinness said, “We are delighted to have Neil on board, not only as a club sponsor, but also as a supporter of the club.
“The red and blue banners at the back of the stands will breathe a little more life into the stadium and, above all, the tribute to the late David Longhurst will resonate with our fans.”
