Review of a Coastal Development Permit (CDP) and Planned Agricultural District permit and grading permit for the construction of two 1,820 square foot semi-detached buildings to house a total of four new farm worker housing units, a fire diversion, a new septic tank system and two new 5,000-gal -Water tanks on a legal 549-acre parcel at 4309 Cloverdale Road in the unincorporated town Pescadero area in San Mateo County. A total of 850 cubic meters of grading is proposed, with no tree removal and minimal vegetation removal. The project is located in the Cloverdale Road County Scenic Corridor and the CDP can be appealed to the California Coastal Commission. Mission statement. The purpose of this committee is to assist in achieving the goals of the Planned Agricultural District Ordinance and the San Mateo County Local Coastal Program.

Williamson's Law

The Williamson Act is a means of limiting the use of agricultural land and open space to agricultural and livestock purposes during the term of the agreement. The Williamson Act program was also intended as a way for local governments to integrate protection of open space and agricultural resources into their overall strategies for planning urban growth patterns.

To this end, three main objectives were originally outlined.

Protection of agricultural resources

Preservation of open spaces

Promoting efficient urban growth patterns
