BUCKS COUNTY, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced plans for pipe replacement along Route 332 (Richboro Road) in Newtown and Northampton townships, which will require lane closures over a period of several weeks. Motorists in this area should expect delays and plan accordingly.
The work schedule begins Monday, December 16th and runs through Friday, December 20th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. A lane closure is in effect on Route 332 between W. Hanover Street and Rock Way. Following this initial phase, weekday lane closures will resume on the same stretch of road from Tuesday, January 2, 2025 to Friday, January 17, 2025.
Drivers are advised to allow additional travel time when traversing the work area as traffic congestion and delays are expected due to lane restrictions. The success of the project depends on weather conditions and the schedule may change accordingly.
The general contractor for this project is Highway Materials, Inc., located in Flourtown, Montgomery County. The pipe replacement work is funded entirely by state funds, underscoring PennDOT's commitment to preserving and improving local infrastructure.
Motorists are urged to exercise caution and be alert for workers and equipment when driving through the affected area. For the latest updates on roadwork, traffic conditions and travel advisories in Bucks County, visit MyChesCo transport center. Stay informed and plan your routes easily!
