Plumber: Hidden technology in vintage kitchen faucets | Siouxland Homes

Question: Dear Ed: We live in an old house and are planning to remodel the kitchen as true to the original as possible. But I want a new, hands-free, high-tech kitchen faucet. Do you make modern faucets that blend in with a vintage kitchen?

Answer: Half the fun of installing a new kitchen faucet is getting the latest features along with choosing a style that goes with your kitchen decor. However, when you’re trying to combine electronic functions with a classic design, things can get a little tricky.

The good news is that modern, vintage-style faucets are now available.

These faucets may look like they were from another time, but they can include powered options like hands-free turning on and off of the water flow, LED indicator lights, and memory settings for the water temperature.

Modern installation options can include water-saving technology, pull-down magnetic docking heads, and custom water spray options. Selected finishes are also available to complete the old look of your new kitchen faucet.
