Plumber shocked to find 20 bones while digging under bathroom

So funny.

A British plumber was stunned when he discovered over 20 bones hidden under the floorboards of the bathroom he was repairing this month.

Jonathan Betts, 36, was working on a cottage that was over 200 years old, reports SWNS. He shared his eerie find in a frightening TikTok that has garnered 1.4 million views since it was posted on January 6th.

“After removing the toilet and flooring, I found this [the] There was massive rot in the subfloor underneath,” explained Betts, who runs JB Plumbing in Plymouth, Devon.

“I alerted the customers who were on vacation that I needed to dig up the ground,” he continued.

Betts said he doesn't normally work weekends – but he kept going and worked himself to the bone.

“As you can imagine, I became stressed, especially when I discovered a jawbone with teeth!” he exclaimed.

“In the back of my mind I knew it was an animal as the teeth didn't look like ours, but I was still drawing sketches as I really didn't want this job to get shut down!” he added.

Betts came across a second part of the jawbone along with 20 other bones.

In a follow-up TikTok, he laid the remains in front of his 600 followers.

He initially said he “kind of hoped” they were the bones of a dog.

After a Google search and consultation with other craftsmen, Betts made the most important discovery: the bones came from a pig, not a human.

And so they went back into the ground.

“The bones were put back under the ground when we discovered that people used to bury them to ward off evil spirits,” Betts noted.

“After speaking to the owners of the house, they informed me that the house across the street used to be a pig farm and that they believe the barn that was part of their property was actually a slaughterhouse,” he said.

He shared the update in a Jan. 7 TikTok, bellowing, “It’s not human! Yes!”

“At least you solved the puzzle,” cheered one commenter.

“If you should have called the police, they would have done the excavation for you and you wouldn't have had to pay them,” argued another.

“Lol the pork bone celebration,” laughed a third.

“Let's just say it's not every day you find a pile of bones under the bathroom floor at work,” Betts said thoughtfully.

“I’ve been in the industry for over 20 years – and I’ve never seen anything like this before,” he added.
