Fernox is a leading manufacturer of chemical products for water treatment, central heating filters, consumables for plumbing and diagnostic testing services in the heating industry. Fernox representative Andy presented the wide range of products and explained their purpose and benefits in extending the life of residential and commercial heating systems.
The students already work in industry as apprentices, many of whom use products of the same quality. This provided a good opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience and to ask questions about the products and parts. Andy was also able to share his industry experience and expertise by discussing scenarios that students in the industry are likely to face.

The resulting discussions led the students to examine the science of heating systems, the ethical and environmental considerations of installing the best quality heating systems, and how the reliability, efficiency, and extended life of a heating system can lead to reputation and repeat business.
