Plumbing work done by a carpenter not considered professional services

The 1st Circuit Court of Appeals recently ruled that a carpenter who does plumbing work for a friend and causes property damage in the process is eligible for coverage under the carpenter’s homeowners policy, even though “business activities” and professional services are excluded from the policy .
