PremiStar Acquires SI Mechanical, Expanding HVAC and Plumbing Services Footprint in Austin, TX

The growing platform for heating, ventilation and air conditioning, plumbing and building automation expands the range of mechanical services and service density in Texas.

PremiStar, a leading commercial and industrial HVAC, plumbing and building automation services company, has acquired SI Mechanical, LLC, a full-service HVAC provider based in Creedmoor, Texas, a suburb of Austin. With this acquisition, PremiStar expands its presence in Central Texas and continues to focus on meeting the needs of customers in the education, healthcare, commercial/industrial and data center markets.

Founded in 2012, SI Mechanical has built an outstanding reputation for providing heating, ventilation and plumbing installation solutions to industry-leading customers including The University of Texas at Austin, Texas State, MD Anderson Cancer Center, St. David's HealthCare, Amazon, Dell, IBM and Samsung. Led by partners Mike Irwin, Phillip Shultz and Riley Sullivan, SI Mechanical remains under local management but benefits from additional resources and investment from PremiStar to support continued growth and service expansion.

When asked to share their reasons for supporting this acquisition, SI Mechanical's partners shared their views. “Our industry is going through significant change and joining the PremiStar family of companies will help us continue to innovate in serving our customers while providing new opportunities for career advancement for our teammates,” said Irwin. Sullivan said, “PremiStar's strategy of helping successful regional providers like SI Mechanical create greater value through service innovation and access to new technologies made this next step in our evolution an easy decision.” Shultz concluded, “PremiStar's financial strength and the company's commitment to our long-term success were key factors in partnering with PremiStar.”

“It is with great pride that I welcome SI Mechanical to the PremiStar family of companies,” said Joe Kirmser, CEO of PremiStar. “The strength and experience of the leadership team and their proven track record with market-leading brands make this a fruitful partnership for employees, customers and our future expansion plans in the region.”
