PSE&G Pipe Replacement Underway In Summit: See Impacted Streets

SUMMIT, NJ – The PSE&G project to replace gas lines throughout Summit is currently underway, according to a city announcement.

The work is expected to be completed by early summer 2023, depending on project progress in winter.

PSE&G crews will be working on the following roads in Summit over the next week:

Hillcrest Avenue between Bellevue Avenue and Woodland Avenue
Hillcrest Avenue between Woodmere Drive and Fernwood Road
Karen Way between Canoe Brook Parkway and Woodland Avenue
Hawthorne Place between Beechwood Road and Shadyside Avenue
Whittredge Road between Hobart Avenue and Essex Road

Once work on these roads is complete, teams will continue work on the following roads:

Oxbow Lane between Summit Avenue and Fernwood Road
Wade Drive between Woodland Avenue and Karen Way
Little Wolf Road between Drum Hill Road and Tanglewood Lane

Road closures and diversions are in place and summit police will be on hand to direct traffic. The work will take place between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday to Friday, weather permitting.
