CHESTER COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced road maintenance work in Chester County that will result in temporary closures. On Wednesday, September 4, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Media Road will be closed between Pugh Road and Barren Road/5th Street in East Nottingham Township. This closure is necessary for pipe trench repairs.
Motorists will need to detour via Pugh Road, Woods Road and 5th Street. On Thursday, September 5, Old Kennett Pike between Bayard Road and Burnt Mill Road in Kennett Township will be closed from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for pipe replacement. Motorists should use Burnard Mill Road, Norway Road, Woodward Road and Bayard Road as detours.
Local access remains open, but travelers should expect delays and plan accordingly. These schedules are dependent on favorable weather conditions.
