Saffron Walden Rotary accepting donated tools

“Bring us your unwanted tools,” was the message from David Peasgood of Rotary in Saffron Walden.

He is the club’s organizer of a project being conducted to collect unwanted tools on behalf of the Tools with a Mission charity.

All types of tools are accepted including household, gardening, auto, construction, plumbing, electrical, knitting and sewing machines, as well as working IT equipment where all data is removed by special software.

The club will transport the tools to the TWAM warehouse in Ipswich, where they will be refurbished and sorted into trading kits before being shipped to developing countries.

Mr Peasgood said, “We believe that entire communities can be transformed through training and the provision of tool kits and equipment.”
