Severn Trent carrying out temporary roadworks for water pipe repair on The Ropewalk, Southwell

Repair work has started on a water leak which has been flowing since last week.

A water leak sprung up on The Ropewalk, Southwell, late last week.

Severn Trent has now started work to repair the pipe and stop the flow of water, which had saturated the road’s surface and the nearby mini roundabout.

Temporary two-way traffic lights have been put in place today.

Work is expected to be complete by Friday, January 24.
