St. Clair County courthouse closed Wednesday due to plumbing issue

St. Clair County is expected to open Thursday morning after being closed Wednesday due to construction issues.

The courthouse at 215 McMorran Blvd. closed at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday because of a plumbing problem that rendered the restrooms unusable, said St. Clair County Circuit Court Administrator Mike McMillan.

Repairs are underway and the courthouse is expected to reopen at 8 a.m. Thursday morning, according to a county news release.

The closure affects all courtrooms of the St. Clair County Circuit Court, 72nd District Court, Circuit and District Court on Probation, Friend of Court, County Clerk, Prosecutor’s Office, Crime Victims’ Rights and Court Administrator’s Office.
