Storm drains around Pattaya dredged as the rainy season arrives

The city sanitation team is digging deep into the Puekplub drainage canal on Pattaya Naklua Road to flush out accumulated sludge to allow water to drain freely.

Pattaya City Engineers are working hard together with the Sanitation Department to dredge as many drains as possible in the city as the rainy season has already started and flooding is expected in many parts of the city.

To prevent the disaster, city sewage teams continue to dredge sewers along Central Road, Pattaya-Naklua Road and Soi Khaotalo.

The teams descended deep into the vast drainage system to manually dig up mud, rocks, cement fragments and various contaminants that were clogging the drains in the area. Much of the clogging is due to irresponsible residents and street food shops thoughtlessly dumping their rubbish down the sewer.
