Disgusting
Maintaining a home is notoriously difficult, and if you're like us, you don't like spending large sums of money all at once. There's no question that we're procrastinators when it comes to spending money.
Thanks to a report from home improvement website Thumbtack, we can get an idea of which projects people procrastinate the most. Thumbtack's data was able to reveal groups of related projects with the lowest completion rates.

1. Weather protection
Sealing leaks, adding insulation, and upgrading windows and doors to improve a home's energy efficiency are all components of weatherproofing. Putting off these actions may seem like easy savings in the short term, but they can also lead to higher energy bills. Plus, you'll pay in other ways, like discomfort.

6. Home inspection
Don't put this off under any circumstances, especially if you're buying a new home. If you skip any of these points, you'll miss your only real, honest chance to learn about potential problems in the future. You know the real estate agent isn't going to tell you the whole truth.

7. Sanitary inspection
Much like your septic tank, it's pretty important to keep your plumbing in good working order, even if it's just servicing a leaky pipe. Water damage is no fun and can result in thousands of dollars in repairs. A simple plumbing inspection is much less expensive.

8. Carpentry
Not only will you lose a beautiful aesthetic, but repairing your cabinets (or even replacing them entirely) can also save you a lot of the most valuable asset in your home: space.

If you like taking warm showers, your water heater should be in perfect working order. And when winter comes? Forget it. Get the thing fixed as soon as possible.
