Town to host final informational meeting on proposed state septic regulation changes

Dartmouth Health Board will hold a final information session on Monday 23rd January at 6pm on the State’s proposed changes to the Sewage Treatment Works Regulations and the new Watershed Permit Regulations

The meeting will take place in the Dartmouth Middle School Auditorium at 366 Slocum Road.

As part of the potential changes, the state is proposing that cities either apply for “watershed permits” or have sewage treatment plant owners upgrade their tanks to use “best available nitrogen technology” to reduce pollution on the waterways entering Buzzards Bay flow.

Public comment on this matter closes on January 30th.
