MCDONALD COUNTY, Mo. – Motorists planning to travel on Missouri Route 43 near Southwest City should be prepared for portions of the road to be closed for maintenance next Tuesday, April 23rd.
According to MoDOT, the closure affects the portion of Route 43 south of the intersection with McDonald County Route O. MoDOT has scheduled the repairs between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m
MoDOT says crews will be on site to replace damaged pipes under the roadway.
Impact on traffic
During operating hours, the affected section of Route 43 will be completely closed to through traffic. Although local access to driveways and other entrances at both ends of the work area will be maintained, vehicles will not be able to pass through the closure. MoDOT said motorists are advised to plan alternative routes as there are no posted detours. Signs and information boards will be installed to inform motorists approaching the area.
