Water pipe replacement works in Hawes area

In Hawes, as part of an investment of 1 million

Yorkshire Water, which has postponed work to cope with tourist peak and business hours, will lay more than 4,230m of pipes to improve the resilience of the water network.

The work will be carried out in stages to minimize disruption and should be completed by next spring.

Mark Allsop, Relationship Manager at Yorkshire Water, said: “We have been working closely with the North Yorkshire County Council Highways team to plan the work in Hawes and will do it in three phases to avoid as much disruption as possible.

“We thank our customers in advance for their patience.”
