WF to close major street for sewer repair

WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) – The Wichita Falls Utilities Department will close portions of a main road for repair work on sewer lines inside the sewage collection system after fiber optic contractors caused damage.

This repair work is scheduled to begin at 8:30 am on Monday 22 May.

According to the City of Wichita Falls, work will be carried out at the intersection of 5th Street and Broad, between the Central Boys Club and the vacant hotel. The repairs will close three lanes of 5th Street and the rightmost lane of Broad.

The city said motorists must exercise caution when driving in the area during this time to protect themselves and city workers who are on the road repairing infrastructure.
