Wrexham: Police return ‘high value’ stolen tools to owner

Employees of the community's Citizens Advice Center recently reported finding numerous electrical and plumbing tools in a sandpit at the back of their building.

PCSO's Charlie Cooper and Ryan Davies from the Neighborhood Policing Team for Acton and Rhosddu attended the scene and seized the items found.

The duo then worked tirelessly to locate the owner of the high-value stolen goods – and eventually succeeded.

North Wales Police said: “When we returned to the station, PCSOs suspected the items may have been stolen and carried out a search of our police systems for any reports of 'theft from motor vehicles' in the last six months. “

“Officers knew the approximate value of the items seized was £500 and therefore decided to contact the victim and ask them to describe what was stolen.”

“The description was accurate and we now have a very happy person getting their stolen property back.”
